Shamanic Artist | Psychic-Medium | Witch
Pamela G Almeida’s evolution as an artist has been informed by multiple experiences and disciplines. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in World Arts and Cultures/Dance at UCLA in 2005. She developed her artistry as a professional dancer until 2010 when she became chronically ill. As part of her healing journey, she returned to graduate studies and reconnected to visual art and her practice as a shamanic artist. That is where she found her art mentor, Shiloh Sophia McCloud from whom she learned to engage with art as a sacred practice.
After becoming a mother, Pamela took a break from graduate school, nevertheless completing her Masters of Arts degree in Women's Spirituality at The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in 2015. Painting and psychological and spiritual development were large components of her masters thesis work. Through that process, she began her practice as a shamanic and intuitive artist, something that has expanded exponentially through the artwork she currently creates.
Pamela has an uncanny ability to study, synthesize, and weave information from seemingly unrelated disciplines to create new frameworks of inquiry and creative processes. Both, her artistic and academic interests are grounded in psycho-spiritual development with an emphasis on embodiment. The foundations of her work are archetypes, myths, ancestral healing, and the evolution of consciousness.
Creative Statement
As an intuitive artist, I synthesize and integrate the visions received across higher dimensions of consciousness and timelines. I hold mythological, psychological, and spiritual lenses while weaving and integrating shamanic artistic practices. I am inspired by the emphasis of indigenous spiritual traditions on maintaining spiritual alignment through the adornment, cleansing, and marking of the head. Through my paintings, I create initiations and metaphorical crownings to consecrate the energy of the soul. My artwork’s purpose is to activate soul memory, awaken the soul to its connection to Spirit and serve as a navigational map and internal compass to guide the soul to its innate wholeness and sovereignty. My art is for those who seek communion with Spirit, especially for those who are called by the Sacred Feminine, the Divine Mother in all its expansive forms.
